At OnTheCrewBoard, the privacy of our users and visitors matters to us. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
Information we collect
When you create an OnTheCrewBoard account, we collect your email address, name (if provided), and your organization's name. Site managers and admins may also enter schedule data, including employee names, job locations, dates, and notes, as part of using the product. Employees themselves do not have accounts or log in; any information about them is entered by their organization's admin or site manager.
Log files
Like most websites, OnTheCrewBoard's servers automatically collect standard log information, including IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider, date/time stamps, and pages visited. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the site, and keep it secure. This information is not linked to anything personally identifiable beyond what's needed for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies
OnTheCrewBoard uses cookies that are necessary for the site to function, primarily to keep you logged in and to protect forms from cross-site request forgery. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes (for example, if we add an analytics tool), we'll update this policy.
You can disable cookies through your browser's settings, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in to OnTheCrewBoard.
We use Postmark, a third-party email delivery service, to send account verification emails, password reset links, and schedule update notifications. You can turn off non-essential update notifications at any time from your account settings; verification and password-reset emails can't be turned off, since they're required to keep your account secure.
Data sharing
We do not sell your information or your organization's schedule data. We do not participate in affiliate programs or share data with advertisers. Information is only shared with the service providers described above (Postmark) as needed to operate OnTheCrewBoard, and only to the extent necessary for them to provide that service.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your organization's data for as long as your account is active. If your account is disabled or deleted, associated data is removed or made inaccessible in accordance with our standard account-closure process. The public demo organization is reset and wiped nightly and is not intended for storing real data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
